1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files placed on a device by a website. Similar browser storage, including local storage, can also remember a setting or identify a browser. This policy uses “cookies” to cover both.

2. Essential and functional settings

Table & Stove uses limited browser storage for the choices you make on the site. These settings do not track you across other websites.

• Cookie choice: remembers whether you kept or turned off analytics, so we do not ask repeatedly.
• Colour theme: remembers light or dark mode only after you choose it.

3. Analytics

Table & Stove uses Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful, how visitors reach the site, and whether a browser returns. Analytics is enabled by default and uses the cookies listed below.

• _ga: distinguishes browsers. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_Q1Q05MR5BZ: maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.

If you choose “Turn off analytics”, Analytics changes to a restricted, cookieless mode and no longer stores an Analytics identifier on your device. Cookieless measurement requests may still be sent to Google. Our Google Analytics configuration keeps advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalisation denied, whatever you choose. This does not control the separate YouTube or Grow services.

4. Search Console

Google Search Console helps us understand indexing and search performance. It is an owner-side tool and does not place Analytics cookies on your device through Table & Stove.

5. YouTube videos

Recipe video previews use our own photographs. Our embedded YouTube player loads only when you choose “Load YouTube video”, using youtube-nocookie.com. Once loaded, Google/YouTube may process device and playback information and use cookies or similar storage. Privacy-enhanced mode does not mean that no information is processed.

Choose “Close YouTube video” to remove that player. This does not clear existing Google cookies or delete information already received. We do not save your video-loading choice for other pages or visits. The separate link to watch on YouTube opens its website, where its own settings apply. 6. Grow by Mediavine

The Grow script loads on this site independently of your Analytics choice. Grow may use cookies, local storage, and identifiers for reader features, measurement, personalisation, and interest-based advertising, depending on its features and your choices. Its storage and duration can vary with the feature used and whether you sign in. See the privacy and cookie notices in Mediavine's Legal and Privacy Center for details and privacy-request options. Our Analytics buttons do not block Grow or change its permissions; use the choices offered by Grow for its services.

7. Your choices

You can choose “Turn off analytics” or “Keep analytics” from the cookie banner. You can change your decision at any time through Cookie settings. Turning analytics off removes the Analytics cookies that this site can remove and returns Analytics to its restricted, cookieless mode. It does not delete information already processed by a third party or change YouTube or Grow settings. You can also block or clear cookies and local storage through your browser settings; some third-party features may then stop working.

8. Changes

We update this policy when the tools or storage used on the site change. Any future advertising integration will need its own disclosures and applicable privacy controls before it is activated.
